Today, it has been a very special day. My first cosupervised PhD student (and, above all, friend), María Martín Ureste, defended her PhD Thesis in the Faculty of Medicine and Odontology of the Universitat de València.

The title of her work was “Estudio de la población anciana ambulatoria con cáncer de pulmón no microcítico: análisis clínico y factores pronóstico inflamatorios” (“A study on elderly outpatients with non-small-cell lung cancer: clinical analysis and inflammatory prognostic factors”) and it was cosupervised by Prof. Federico Pallardó, Prof. Inmaculada Maestu and me.

María has proven to be a very hard worker and a good researcher. For me, it has been a pleasant and enriching experience to work with her, Federico and Inma, and I hope we will continue working together in the near future.

Congrats, María!!  😉
